Is a STAR station more expensive?

Not automatically — BAR doesn't set a price difference between STAR and regular stations. Each shop posts its own price.

• Each station sets and posts its own price — there is no state-mandated STAR markup
• Some vehicles are directed to a STAR station by the DMV renewal notice, regardless of price
